Hand Made Ceramics
Custom Drawings, Sculptures
Since 1997, Ryan has been creating dynamic wildlife sculptures and drawings for clients, galleries and friends. The award winning sculptures have captured several ribbons at wildlife shows and were featured in Maryland and PA Galleries.
All sculptures and ceramic pieces are one of a kind originals that are hand made from stoneware and other fired clays. Other materials such as natural hardwoods and hand made bases are used to complement and display the pieces. From tiny hummingbirds to life-sized birds of prey, bonsai pots to functional wares, Ryan can create a centerpiece for your home or office.
Drawings and pet portraits are created using artist quality pastel pencils and pans. Have a portrait made from your own pet photos or Ryan can create a one of kind piece of art of your favorite wildlife subject.
Ryan has formal training in biology with Bachelor of Science degrees in Environmental Studies and Marine Science. A Marine Ornithology class at a Virginia field station required Ryan to learn every feather and bone along with the habits and adaptations birds posess. Armed with this background, he turned this knowledge to wildlife sculpting and pet portraits.
Ryan has been joined by his Daughter Molly who is finishing her BFA in Ceramics at Salisbury University in Maryland. Together, they blend their unique styles to create new and exciting pieces as a team.

Project Spotlight - LVZoo's Baridi, the African Penguin
I am working with the Lehigh Valley Zoo to create a life sized sculpture of their African Penguin, Baridi. I had a meet and greet with her a week ago and gathered all the reference photos and measurements. She is sculpted in white stoneware clay and will be underglazed and fired.
Update. Baridi was sold at the auction and helped raise money for the LV Zoo!
